Please mark your calendars for the two upcoming Cook County events!
Electronics Recycling Event
Clean out old electronics and recycle them responsibly during Cook County’s annual Electronic Waste Collection Event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cook County Recycling Center, 630 5th Ave. W., Grand Marais.
In partnership with Retrofit Companies, the event provides residents with a convenient way to safely dispose of TVs, monitors, computers, printers, tablets, cords, batteries, lamps, microwaves, mercury-containing items, and other small household electronics. Recycling e-waste helps recover valuable materials, reduces landfill waste, and keeps hazardous substances out of the environment.
Residents are especially encouraged to bring devices with embedded batteries, such as laptops, cordless tools, and rechargeable electronics. For accepted items, pricing information, and additional event details, visit: https://retrofitcompanies.com/cook-county-recycling-event-2026
