The Grand Marais Public Library is pleased to present Bugs at the Library with Nature Connect, a free, family-friendly program on Tuesday, July 22, at 2:00 p.m. Designed for ages 5 and up, this interactive event welcomes all ages and features live insect water touch tanks, giving attendees the opportunity to observe and interact with aquatic insects up close. Expect to learn, explore, and even get a little wet!

Naturalist Amber Taylor of Nature Connect is passionate about helping young people discover the fascinating aquatic insects that live in Minnesota's lakes and streams. She will teach participants about insect life cycles, unique adaptations, what aquatic insects reveal about water quality, and the important roles they play in healthy ecosystems.

Bugs at the Library is sponsored by the Arrowhead Library System and is just one of many activities taking place during the library's Summer Reading Program, which runs through August 14. Residents and visitors of all ages are encouraged to participate by reading for fun all summer long.
