The third ruffed grouse that I am photographing this spring is the most colorful of all. He is what they call the cinnamon color. This is the only one I have seen over the years of photographing grouse that has the red tail feathers along with the bright cinnamon ruff. The owner of the property that he drums on named him Frank. He is drumming very close to their house. Fun for them to wake in the morning to the drumming of a ruffed grouse.

Frank has also become tame enough that he lets me sit on his drumming log next to him.
