It has been another enjoyable year in pursuit of outdoor adventures with friends and family. At the end of December, I always show some of my favorite images from the year. These aren’t necessarily my best images but the memories are by far my favorite.

Like when I was in a group of several photographers and they all headed down the road to see a boreal owl that was spotted. As soon as they left a great gray landed on the top of a spruce in front of me with Lake Superior in the background. I was the only one left to take the photo.

Watching a beaver pond with two of my granddaughters when the beaver swims by, climbs up on the bank and starts to cut a tree. The expressions on their faces were priceless.

Katie and I calling in a huge bull moose early one morning and having a lady come by that was dreaming of seeing a moose. As she joined us, we had a pack of wolves answering on one side, the bull grunting as it was coming out on the other side and an eagle with several ravens flying overhead adding their calls to the wilderness experience.
