I have spent many days in the Grand Marais Rec Park this winter enjoying the waxwings. The campground is a nice area to watch birds. You can pull your car right into some of the campsites next to the mountain ash and photograph through the window. When the flocks fly in, they will feed within a few feet of you. Not only do you get to enjoy the colors but also their back-and-forth communication.
