This last month we had several storms with onshore winds that generated some incredible waves.  This week’s storm was driving waves directly into the Grand Marais shoreline. With below zero temperatures the rocks and brush got covered in spray forming some great ice sculptures. If we don’t get any warm temps this ice will be around for most of the winter giving visitors great views of a “Winter Wonderland”.
