Cook County snowfall report as of 9:00 am, November 25

Snow lovers can finally rejoice! As snow continues to fall across the Arrowhead region of Minnesota, a few inches have already accumulated overnight.

Here are the latest snowfall reports in Cook County as of 9:00 a.m. from the National Weather Service - Duluth: 
  • Grand Marais 4.4 W: 3.1 in as of 7:00 a.m.
  • Grand Marais 3.8 NNE: 2.3 in as of 7:00 a.m.
  • Tofte 4.9 NE: 2.1 in as of 7:00 a.m.
  • Hovland 2.8 WNW: 2.0 in as of 7:00 a.m.
  • Sea Gull Lake 3 E: 1.4 in as of 7:15 a.m.

Snow is expected to continue into the afternoon before tapering off, and a winter weather advisory is in effect for Cook County and Grand Portage until 2 p.m. Two to five inches of snow are expected in total, with isolated amounts of up to seven inches along the North Shore. 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is currently reporting "slush" covered roads along Highway 61 in Grand Portage and Cook County. For the most up-to-date road conditions, visit 511mn.org
