Birch Grove Community School (BGCS) recently announced the opening of its new daycare program, Seedlings, which caters to children from birth to age 3. 

Seedlings will follow a similar schedule to the existing Saplings program (ages 3-5) at BGCS, operating on weekdays during the school year according to the BGCS calendar. In the summer months, Seedlings will run Monday through Thursday. Diane Blanchette, BGCS Director, told Boreal Community Media "The hours and days for this new program may be flexible according to what the needs are and what staffing allows. We will know more once we know what enrollment numbers are."

Seedlings will require parents to provide essential supplies for their infants, including diapers, formula, and other necessities.

Blanchette shared that support for the program comes from Cook County, MN, Tofte Township, the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation, and WE Connect.
