Possible severe storms today

There is a chance for severe storms this afternoon into early Monday morning. Storms will have a cap inhibiting them, but any that can overcome that could produce large hail up to 1.5" and damaging winds to 75 mph.

A mix of Heat Advisories and Extreme Heat Warnings are in effect today into this evening. Heat index values will be in the 90s across the Northland, with some areas to our south to reach around 100 degrees. Smoke will inhibit heat a bit this afternoon, especially across the Arrowhead. Additional heat headlines may be needed Monday as well.
