Due to continued hazardous air quality caused by wildfire smoke, the Cook County Recycle Center and Budget Shop will remain closed today, Thursday, July 16, to protect the health and safety of employees and the public.

While the Recycle Center is closed, the County's recycling drop-off sites located throughout Cook County remain available for residents to use.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. We hope to resume normal operations as soon as air quality improves to a level that is safe for staff and visitors. Updates will be provided as conditions change.
