o Two special anniversary wine blends with labels commemorating ten years of north  shore winery.

▪ The “10” is a wine that looks back at the last ten years. Made through  collaboration between Jayden and Chuck, this wine is a celebration of each of their interests in the cellar. Blending Zinfandel, still made in the same way that Chuck started fermenting and aging it ten years ago, with Malbec, one of Jayden’s recent additions to the tasting room, this wine is smooth and velvety with a high note that carries the fruit and elegant structure of the wine over the pallet. 625 bottles produced.

▪ The “10.0” is a wine crafted and cared for by Winemaker’s Jayden and Charlie,  and chosen by chuck for special release. We aren’t going to tell you exactly what  is in this one - just that it is a special vintage of a variety that started a relationship with one of our favorite growers, and inspired our barrel program.  325 bottles produced.

• Giveaways: Friday and Saturday, our giveaway alarm will go off multiple times an hour and the  next customer will get a surprise piece of merch, a certificate, or other surprise.

The Winery opened its doors officially in July 2016 with just a few wines named after locations around  Cook County made from grapes grown in California plus cider made with apples from Minnesota. The idea of the founders was to create a special place in Lutsen for the community to gather and enjoy a  unique setting.

“We had an idea to create the Winery in Lutsen to offer a unique experience for locals and visitors to the  area. A place to build community,” said Kim Corliss, co-founder of North Shore Winery. “We are so  thankful to so many that helped us get started from purchasing the business location, the patience of  our neighbors, township, and county to permit this new kind of business to open, and the many supporters who spread the word about the Winery.”

The business grew quickly both in the tasting room and through wholesale. Production responded by expanding the wine making capabilities, ordering more fruit, purchasing and installing additional tanks,  and expanding the barrel program for aging wines.

“The first year we made and bottled 16,000 bottles of wine and cider and provided over 12,000  tastings,” says Chuck Corliss, co-founder of North Shore Winery. “We knew we had to invest in the  business and expand production to keep up with demand. We not only wanted to create more and new wines while also wanting to create a barrel room for aging wines. Our barrel program was born from this  idea, and we want to thank each barrel club member for their ongoing support in helping us continue to  create delicious wines.”

In 2018, driven by the expansion of the business, Chuck and Kim decided to invite new owners into the  business. That was when Jeremy and Mary Hanson joined North Shore Winery as partners. Jeremy and  Mary were long-time Lutsen homeowners and supporters of the Winery, helping Chuck and Kim out  during busy times and bottling wine. Chuck and Kim knew the Hanson’s would be a great addition to the  Winery team, and started a partnership that continues today.

In 2019, Jayden Corliss joined the winery as winemaker and general manager of the operation. Jayden’s  understanding of viticulture and the science of enology brought a level of expertise the business needed  to move to the next level. Under Jayden’s leadership, the consistency of spectacular wines,  improvements in the tasting room, and strong business acumen are making the Winery what it is today,  a unique tasting experience in Lutsen.

The winery and tasting room, located at 202 Ski Hill Road in Lutsen, Minn., is open six days a week all  year long. The tasting room offers wine and cider by the flight, glass and bottle along with a variety of  snacks including local cheeses, cured meats, and other charcuterie selections to enjoy while visiting.
