From the National Weather Service in Duluth - July 2, 2026

We are monitoring the potential for a few severe storms across the region tonight. Storms are expected to develop in the Dakotas this afternoon before moving toward central Minnesota this evening and tonight. The highest local risk is a Level 2 out of 5 (Slight Risk) across central and western Minnesota. If these storms move into our area, the primary threats will be damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph and hail up to quarter size, along with locally heavy rainfall. Please ensure you have multiple ways to receive warnings before heading to bed tonight!
