Residents of Tofte and western Cook County are invited to attend an open house at the new, updated Tofte Transfer Station on Thursday, July 2, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. This event offers community members an opportunity to tour the facility, learn about available solid‑waste services, and speak directly with staff. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

The Tofte Transfer Station represents a significant step in ensuring reliable and accessible waste management services for residents in the West End. The project was made possible through collaboration between Cook County and North Shore Waste. 

Cook County extends its appreciation to all partners who contributed to this project in various ways, including North Shore Waste, Cook County staff, and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, who support the county’s waste‑management goals.
