Lutsen Mountains has announced that it will officially join the Ikon Pass for the 2026-27 ski season. The Ikon Pass is a global season pass program that provides access to more than 70 ski resorts worldwide, including North American resorts such as Aspen Snowmass, Steamboat, and Jackson Hole. This partnership includes all three properties under the Midwest Family Ski Resorts umbrella: Lutsen Mountains, Granite Peak in Wisconsin, and Snowriver Mountain Resort in Michigan. President and Owner of Midwest Family Ski Resorts Charles Skinner, stated that the destinations are an "ideal fit" for the Ikon community, offering a "truly unique Midwest mountain experience."
The Ikon Pass provides season-long access to a core group of mountains while allotting between five and seven days of access at more than 50 additional locations, including Lutsen and its sister resorts. Additionally, the pass includes two days of access at "bonus mountains," specifically Buck Hill and Wild Mountain in Minnesota and Devil’s Head Resort in Wisconsin (subject to holiday blackout dates).
Starting March 12, those with 2025-2026 Ikon passes or 2026-2027 receipts, are eligible for 50% off lift tickets for the remainder of the current season at Lutsen Mountains. While the Indy Pass will be honored through the end of this ski season, the new Legendary Midwest and Ikon products go on sale March 12, with spring pricing available until May 10.
