Northern lights photos are being shared among family members, friends, and on social media after an active solar storm reached Earth's atmosphere last night. Northern lights were seen across the state and beyond, including the Twin Cities, Rochester, and Grand Rapids.
The evening started cloudy in Cook County and Grand Portage, but by midnight, skies were clear (although conditions were *windy*), and, lucky for us, the northern lights were still out.
There's another chance to view the aurora this evening, and although not as strong as last night, skies are expected to be less cloudy, giving us another opportunity to see the dancing colors.
