I spent a few more hours with our hummingbirds this week. They are so fun to watch. The longer I spend with the hummingbirds the closer they let me get to them. About one in every 100 photos turns out with the wings and background just right.

When the male turns his throat feathers just right the color is awesome. We were having our vehicle fixed this week so the loaner I had was bright red. When I sat in the truck next to the flower beds the hummingbirds were attracted to the bright color. One even flew into the truck as I was taking its photo. In just a few days they will head south and we won’t see them anymore until spring.
