From the Grand Marais Lions Club - June 21, 2025

The Grand Marais Lions Club Citizen of the Year award is for an individual or couple whose volunteerism and service to the community have made Cook County a better place to live. In choosing a recipient, consideration will be given to the nominee’s past and ongoing contributions to the community. A nominee only needs to be nominated once to be considered for the award. If multiple nominations are received for a nominee, all information provided will be compiled and considered; however, the number of nominations does not influence the selection.

If you have a community member you feel should be considered for the award, nominate them below. The recipient is expected to be available for the presentation of the award, which will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 2:30PM in Harbor Park.

Nominations are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2025.

Visit the Grand Marais Lions Club website for the nomination form or to learn more.
