On Saturday, June 14, Cook County Pride hosted its annual Pride Celebration in Grand Marais. Events took place throughout the day, including yoga in Harbor Park, Drag Story Hour, crafts and sign-making, a community sing-along and dance, followed by a rally and march. A dance party with a DJ took place at Up Yonder later in the evening.
A large crowd of over 200 people gathered in Harbor Park to engage in fellowship, visit vendor booths, and listen to speakers once the rally began. Initially, the crowd was encouraged to take a collective deep breath, followed by greeting a friend or neighbor with a wave, hug, or smile. Three speakers addressed the group, each sharing their stories of identifying as LGBTQIA2S+ throughout their lives. A march around downtown Grand Marais began and ended in Harbor Park, followed by a free community dinner from Angry Trout and Double D's Catering.
The theme for the 2025 Celebration was "Love is our resistance."

Vendors representing local and regional organizations lined a portion of Harbor Park before the rally and march.
