Cook County Highway Department to host Town Hall on Arrowhead Trail and Chicago Bay Road Improvement Project

Make your voice heard!

Join the Cook County Highway Department at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Hovland Town Hall for the 2nd public meeting to discuss the upcoming Arrowhead Trail and Chicago Bay Road Improvement Projects. The project has been delayed until summer 2026.

Project Descriptions:

· Segment 1: The Arrowhead Trail from Highway 61 up to Tower Road will have the existing pavement resurfaced and culverts replaced, and the crossing at Otis Creek will be upsized to a larger box culvert.
· Segment 2: Continued discussion from the first meeting about extending the pavement another 4-5 miles to Irish Creek Road.
· Chicago Bay Road will be resurfaced, and culverts will be replaced.

Meeting Setup:
· The meeting will be a town hall style. A short presentation with handouts and project design(s) for people to discuss and comment on.
· Due to technical limitations, the meeting will not be streamed or recorded.
