The owl irruption continues along the North Shore. I think I have seen at least one owl every day this week. The most memorable was this boreal owl that showed up at our bird feeder. It had caught a mouse and landed in a red pine. I moved to compose the photo so that the pine needles centered around its head. Its like you are looking at the boreal through a dream catcher. It continued looking for mice and landed in several different locations. I think the boreal is the cutest owl around.
