MN State Patrol, Grand Marais Fire Department, and North Shore Health Ambulance respond to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 61 in Cook County

Around 1 am on February 2, the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash near mile marker 105 along Highway 61. A driver in a 2017 Subaru Forester was traveling westbound on Highway 61 when they lost control, causing the vehicle to roll into the ditch and land on its side. According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, the roads at the time were covered by snow and ice.
The driver was transported to North Shore Health with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident report states that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol was involved. The airbags of the Forester did deploy.
The Grand Marais Fire Department and North Shore Health Ambulance also responded.
