Winter Weather Advisory for Cook County and Grand Portage in effect until January 29 at 12:00 a.m.

From the National Weather Service in Duluth - January 28, 2025


WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches.
  Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Cook and Lake and Southern Cook Counties. This
  includes the Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation.This
  also includes the Boundary Waters eastern and central area.

* WHEN...Until midnight CST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow squalls are possible this afternoon and
  evening. Snow squalls can produce rapidly decreasing visibility to
  1/4 mile or less and create dangerous road conditions.
