Reports of early snowfall amounts have been released by the National Weather Service in Duluth as of 7:30 a.m., thanks to CoCoRaHS volunteers and trained spotters. 

• 3 ENE Grand Marais: 1.8 in     
• Grand Marais 4.4 W: 1.8 in    
• Grand Marais 4.4 WSW: 1.5 in    
• Tofte 4.9 NE: 1.3 in    
• Hovland 0.1 NE: 1.3 in    
• Tofte 2.1 NE: 0.3 in    

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 12:00 a.m. on January 29. Additional accumulations of 2" to 5" of snow are expected, with winds gusting at 40 mph. The advisory covers north and south Cook County and northern Lake County. Snow squalls are also possible throughout the day.
