A cold wave hit the Northland this last week dropping wind chills to below forty.  Had a choice of bundling up or staying inside. Onshore winds were creating waves along the North Shore so I chose to bundle up and capture some impressive wave action. The spray from the waves covered many of the trees and shrubs creating ice sculptures overnight.
