The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for Cook County and Grand Portage from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, through 9 a.m. on Thursday, December 12.
Overnight, temperatures in the single digits and wind chills as low as -34 F are expected. Frostbite on exposed skin can occur in as little as 10 minutes.
