During this year’s deer hunting season, I came across two bucks that were hiding out on Lighthouse Point in Two Harbors. Walked up on this nice ten-pointer as he was bedded down in the brush. When he stood up, I realized just how impressive he was.  Since there was a doe nearby, he let me get pretty close for photos.

The second one I located was only an eight-pointer but actually had longer tines than the ten-pointer had. This one was also interested in a doe that was close by. When they are in rut they seem to lose all fear of people. I watched this handsome guy for some time. He was watching the doe and drooling just like some of the moose that I called in this last fall.
