Calling all writers and holiday well wishers! Come join Letteracy Deck's free holiday letter writing event Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. - 4 p,m., inside Lake Superior Trading Post in downtown Grand Marais. All ages and letter-writing abilities are welcome.
Write to Santa -- or write as Santa to friends and family! We supply free notecards, postcards, pens, markers and stamps. All you need to do is write, draw or scrawl your holiday wishes! We'll stamp and mail it for free to celebrate Grand Marais' second annual Holiday Harbor Village event.

Letteracy Deck is an applied literacy project of Minnesota Children's Press, a Grand Marais-based 501(c)(3) charity promoting literacy through letter writing with friends and family. Say anything to anyone in your letters, and we'll speed it on its way, North Pole included, of course! Support from the Blandin Foundation, IRRR, Grand Marais Lions, Cook County Whole Foods Co-op, 1st and 2nd Thrift Store, Odds 'n End thrift store, and many generous donations of cards help make this free public letter writing spree possible.
