Over 750 people came out to support local artists at the Winter Hovland Arts Festival this past weekend on November 30. The Festival was an authentic up-north holiday shopping experience, featuring handmade crafts from 16 local artists and Mama Bear Catering. According to Hovland Arts Festival event organizers, "Everyone did well and had a great time...the hall was full of people all day." This Festival takes place annually on the fourth Saturday in November at Hovland Town Hall.

If you missed the event, many of the vendors will also be at the Grand Portage Christmas Craft Fair on December 7, 2024, at the Grand Portage Events Center. Additionally, some will showcase their art during the Holiday Harbor Village on December 6 and 7 in Grand Marais.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for the 2025 events: the Summer Hovland Arts Festival is July 5 & 6, and the Winter Festival is November 29, 2025.
