After a successful kick-off to the Grand Marais Film Society's (GMFS) movie season, a fun, family holiday classic is on tap for December. Sponsored by Johnson's Foods, this Charles "Dickensian" story gets a twist thanks to some special (mup)puppet-like actors. (Due to restrictions on film promotion, the Film Society cannot advertise the title of each film in the traditional sense, but can share it in its Facebook group.)

The second movie season began in October, with 115 people attending a 1988 Halloween film starring Michael Keaton. The November film brought over 160 people into the Arrowhead Center for the Arts, the largest screening to date, according to the GMFS.

The December film will take place on Saturday, December 14, at 4 p.m. at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts in Grand Marais.

The film is 85 minutes and is rated G. More details, including the name of the film, are available at https://www.facebook.com/groups/gmfilmsociety
