Tuesday and Wednesday evenings I was fortunate to have photographed three awe-inspiring heavenly events. The Harvest Full Moon, the partial moon eclipse and aurora that lasted throughout the night. On Tuesday evening the moon was blocked by clouds for a few minutes so it didn’t show until it got above the lighthouse. Wednesday night is when the Harvest Moon rose twenty minutes after sunset creating more vibrant colors.

This was my favorite image of the night. I think I like it more than the others because of the shadow of the tree showing up in the reflection of the moon. With the haze in the air and the calm waters it was a colorful and memorable evening.
