33rd Annual Grand Marais Arts Festival draws many visitors over the weekend

The Grand Marais Arts Colony hosted the 33rd Annual Grand Marais Arts Festival on July 13 and 14, 2024. With 60 exhibits in total, artists from all over the Midwest set up on Wisconsin Street to display their hand-crafted items.

Many mediums were present at the event, including ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, ceramics, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood.

In addition to the art exhibits, the festival included live music in Harbor Park, hands on art activities, demonstrations, and mini classes.

The North Shore is known for its vibrant art scene, and this event celebrates that legacy. Known for attracting high quality artists and the lovely lakeside setting, the Grand Marais Arts Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year.
