Over 600 people braved the rain to attend the Good Harbor Hill Players' annual Summer Solstice Pageant

Despite the rainy weather, over 600 people gathered at North House Folk School to attend the Good Harbor Hill Players' annual Summer Solstice Pageant. The Pageant finishes off the second day of the Wooden Boat Festival hosted by North House Folk School.
The theme for the 2024 event was "Eclipse of the Heart", and explored the human connection to the earth through the mycelium, or the fungal network that lies below ground.
The show navigated through 12 scenes, directed by The Earthtones (the band).
Over 600 people arrived ready to brave the rain to watch the annual Summer Solstice Pageant.

In "Everything's Connected", a visible representation of mycelium, or a network of underground, thread-like fungal cells that connects plants and trees, was shown using white streamers across the audience. This network allows organisms to exchange resources and information, and can even influence the evolution of ecosystem.

Attendees were not only treated to a beautiful glowing sky, but a rainbow over the Grand Marais Harbor.
