Spring storms have been rejuvenating the trees and producing striking rainbows. This image of a double rainbow over East Bay in Grand Marais was the third rainbow on the same evening. Notice how in a double rainbow the colors are reversed from the first. I have read that this is due to the light being reflected back into the raindrop a second time. I don’t really understand it but I’m sure glad it happens.
