The National Weather Service in Duluth issued a special statement for March 21, 2024, for near-critical fire weather conditions in NE Minnesota.
Although snow is in the forecast for today and this weekend, the clipper system moving through today will only touch certain parts of the state.
According to the NWS, already dry conditions, along with low humidity (between 15 - 25%) could cause a rapid spread of fires. Burning restrictions are already in place in Cook County by the Department of Natural Resources, but community members are urged to take extra precautions.
