This winter may just be one for the record books. Snow and cold lovers will not be rejoicing any time soon.
The National Weather Service in Duluth has released its 8-14 day outlook, and is predicting an 80-100% chance of above-average temperatures. Some areas may even see temperatures ranging 15-20+ degrees above normal through the first week of February.
In June 2023, the National Weather Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration declared the arrival of El Nino, a natural climate pattern that occurs every 2-7 years.
