North House Folk School is thrilled to announce the second-annual free Family Concert during

the Unplugged weekend!

On Saturday, September 16, kids of all ages are invited to join the fun under the tent for a free

performance by Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players. This Grammy-nominated

performer has been described as “the Judy Blume of kiddie rock” by The New York Times, and

The Los Angeles Times called Roberts “Among the best craftsmen of sweet and silly kid tunes

out there, making irresistible music out of small, well-observed moments from the lives of

children and parents.”

Doors open at 9 am for the 10 am Saturday performance. Some seating will be available toward

the back of the tent, but families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket to choose a spot closer

to the stage. 

Bring your shoe boxes and come early to craft a musical instrument to rock along with the band!

North House staff will guide participants through a fun morning of drop-in family crafts to create

instruments from recycled materials from 9 to 11 am on campus.
 

As if this morning concert couldn’t get any sweeter, Superior Creamery will be onsite scooping

locally-crafted ice cream to purchase!
