Lake and Cook County Conservation Workshops and Rain Barrel/Compost Bin Sale

Cook and Lake Counties Soil and Water Conservation Districts have partnered up to offer three great workshops and a group order on rain barrels and compost bins!
The rain barrel/compost bin ordering information will be available on the Cook County Soil and Water webpage starting next week.
There are three zoom workshops open to the public:
Wednesday, November 9th, 6-7 pm via zoom
Learn the wetland indicators, why they are important, and the rules that protect them.
Tuesday, November 15th, 6-7 pm vis zoom
Learn about forest health, spruce budworm, and forestry cost-share options
Tuesday, November 22nd, 6-7 pm via zoom
Learn about small-scale stormwater impacts, why to mitigate it, and what you can do.
Register in advance for one or more workshops online! The first 50 people to register will receive a $55 credit towards purchasing a rain barrel through either Lake or Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District's sale. Must attend the zoom workshop or verify that you watched the recording to receive the incentive, limit one credit per household.
