The Nursery is taking seedling requests for 2023 spring plantings through our new online form at mndnr.gov/treeorder

If you need help completing or submitting the online form, please call our new phone number: 651-259-5870, between 8:30 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept phone or email seedlings requests. 

Designed to support our state’s amazing private woodlands, a minimum of 500 seedlings must be purchased, which can be broken down into increments of 100 of a species. Seedlings must also be planted in Minnesota.  

We will review your seedling request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation and invoice email. The invoice will include quantity and species of tree seedlings reserved, total price of your order, including tax and shipping, if applicable. The invoice will contain instructions on how to pay for your order. To secure your order, the Nursery must receive credit card payment or a check postmarked within 10 days of the invoice date.

The Nursery is happy to announce that seedling sales kickoff on Tuesday, November 1. We have updated our process to improve efficiency and customer experience. A few highlights are below. If you are planning to order seedlings this fall, please visit our seedling ordering webpage for complete information.

Online Form

We are only accepting seedling requests through an online form that will be available at 8:30 am on November 1 on our seedling ordering webpage. Requests left via voicemail or email will not be processed.

The information needed to complete the online form is the same information from the previous paper form. You will just enter it online.

Phone assistance will be available starting November 1, if needed.

All seedling requests will be processed in the order received via the online form. An auto-response email will be sent to you after submitting your form indicating we have received your request. You will get a second email from us within 7 business days that is your invoice. The invoice email will confirm your seedlings and include final tax and shipping costs, along with payment instructions.

Payment

Credit card and check payments are accepted after you receive your invoice. Secure your order by calling in your credit card payment or sending a check that is post marked within 10 days of your invoice email.

New Phone Number

We upgraded our phone system to add more phone lines and have a new phone number. If you need help with the form, starting November 1, you can reach us at 651-259-5870 from 8:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Please note over the next few weeks we are prepping fields and readying for winter. Starting November 1, we will have ample customer service phone support.
