Presentations for the week of July 24 – 31

  • July 24 – 10:30 a.m. – Nature hike with Emma Adams 30-minute hike exploring the Lichen of the area, meet on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum
  • July 24 – 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Mary Manning  – Minnesota DNR Conservation Officer & furry friend Shaun – patrolling the BWCAW with a dog team
  • July 26 – 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Kids’ Day children under the age of 18 can visit the Chik-Wauk Campus free of charge
  • July 27 – 2:00 p.m. – USFS Naturalist Ellie will talk about the Dark Sky. Meet on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum
  • July 28 – 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.– Margie Menzies – Hawks of the North Woods Counting for Conservation
  • July 29 , 30, & 31 – 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. – Naturalist Emma Adams will talk about History of the Waterways - meet on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum
  • July 30 – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Kelly Amoth – Get the Lead Out!  Program coordinator with the Get the Lead Out program at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency

 

All presentations are family friendly and free to the public by the funding from Visit Cook County.

Museum, Cabin Exhibit & Gift Shop is open daily 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Nature Center is open daily 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Watercraft Exhibit Building is open daily 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Admission charge $5.50/adult, $2.50/children 5 – 18 under 5 are free, discount for Senior & Military

Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center is located on the Gunflint Trail (Hwy 12) turn right onto Moose Pond Drive (UT 81).
