Wisconsin pilots will have their eyes in the skies this week conducting aerial enforcement.

Starting Friday, May 6, the State Patrol will be keeping an eye out for traffic violations from planes in Douglas County as an effort to improve public safety. According to their Facebook page, officers will be flying over US-53. Officials say it’s much easier to spot drivers who are speeding or driving aggressively from the air.

State Patrol pilots will report violations to ground crews to initiate a traffic stop.
