What is your favorite part about living and working in Cook County?

My favorite part about living and working in Cook County is the camaraderie and stamina of its residents and living & working in such a beautiful setting!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would love to visit all the students that we have employed over the years to see where life has taken them. 

Who is the better cook at home - you or Dan?

Dan is definitely the better cook in our house. 

How do you relax after long days and/or the busy season?

After long days and the end of the busy season, I love to just stay home and be away from people. 

What is a fun fact about you that people may not know?

A fun fact about me is that I have an Xbox One and love to play it whenever I have a day that I need to get away from reality. 

Do you have time for hobbies?  If so, what are they?

I don’t have a lot of time for hobbies but I like to do jigsaw puzzles, diamond painting, reading, taking walks, spending time with children and/or grandchildren, and having dinner out with friends letting someone else wait on me and do the cooking. 

What have you learned most about living through a pandemic?

Living through a pandemic has taught me how fragile life is and that we need to live each day as if it is our last, don’t hold grudges, and give each other much grace.

Any family facts you want to share with us?  Siblings?  Kids?  Grandkids?  

I was privileged to be raised by loving Christian parents who lived long lives and taught me to rely on God for everything. I am very close to all of my 4 siblings. We have 4 wonderful kids and 12 awesome grandchildren! 

What is your favorite Blue Water pie?

My favorite Blue Water pie is Killer Berry which is made with Killer Bee honey as the sweetener!
