COVID-19 in Cook County; 116 cases in total - up 2 cases in past week, 743 people vaccinated

Cook County has received notice of 2 new COVID-19 case since Thursday, January 21: one male in his 60s and one female in her 20s. This brings the total case count for Cook County to 116 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the Cook County COVID-19 Response Center

A total of 743 COVID-19 first dose vaccinations have been administered thus far in Cook County, according to the Minnesota Department of Health on Thursday, January 28.  That represents about 14% of Cook County's population. This does not include vaccinations administered at the community event for people 75 years and older on Thursday.  173 individuals have been administered the complete series of vaccinations.
