Due to the deer herd on the North Shore feeding in the ditches and being in close proximity to Highway 61 we are experiencing a high fatality rate for these animals. Please be careful when driving as these accidents can be costly and cause injuries to motorists. 

We maintain a list at the Sheriff's Office for anyone who wants to be notified of these incidents and chooses to salvage the meat from the deer. If you or anyone you know is interested in gaining venison in this manner, please use the following email address to be added to the list.
