IT'S GIVE BOREAL FUND RAISING WEEK!
Lots of our users like the free technology support that comes with Boreal memberships! Troubleshooting, new device set-up, email support and free Tech events. Our student interns solve the most challenging IT problems and in turn, receive valuable real world working experience to prepare for their careers in information technology. We also host a Student Technology Summer Camp for students to give a full immersion into the various fields of technology and hands on computer training. These are the reasons our members depend on locally available and free tech help from Boreal Community Media.
We depend on your community financial support. Once a year, we ask Community Members make their donations to non-profit public media from Boreal Community Media.
Give Boreal Week is the one week annual fundraising event to support Boreal Community Media, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation who provides free news, information, a community events calendar, business directory, classified ads and more to the North Shore and the Arrowhead region of Northeastern Minnesota.
Private individual donations can be made by sending your check made payable to Boreal Community Media to Boreal Community Media, P.O Box 1269, Grand Marais MN 556064.
Or you can drop your check off at the Boreal Community Media offices in the Cascade Building at 21 West Second Street in Grand Marais, MN.

As a non-profit organization, we depend on sponsorship support from local businesses and organizations, public and private grants, and private donations. All financial underwriting to Boreal Community Media is tax-deductible. Our sponsors in turn can choose a variety of methods ranging from business listings to advertising sponsor messages to communicate with their audiences. We have a number of different sponsorship packages to fit the needs of any business or organization. "About 1990 I began using Boreal.org when Mary and I moved from Grand Rapids, Michigan to our new home in Grand Marais. Not yet retired and with a staffed actuarial consulting firm back in Michigan (Sanders and Associates, Inc.) I was able to predominantly work in Grand Marais. Using Boreal.org, I sent and received prolific emails,and documents from Grand Rapids staff and clients throughout the country. I traveled once a month to either Grand Rapids or to clients. Boreal.org was my brand and still is."
