Media release from the Cook County Chamber of Commerce - January 28, 2019
The Chamber Foundation, our 501c3 branch, is raising funds to aid Eddy, the canine deputy serving with the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
The Chamber Foundation, our 501c3 branch, is raising funds to aid Eddy, the canine deputy serving with the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
Eddy's human law enforcement partners are trying to raise the $5,000 needed to construct an agility course for Eddy. It would help keep Eddy strong and well-trained so he can respond to any emergency situation: Tracking a lost child, rescuing someone from a dangerous situation where a dog is better than a human, following a criminal trying to escape justice, searching a building or a vehicle or a forest where a dog nose is much better than human eyesight.
Thanks to a flurry of very generous donations in the past few days, our collections have gone over the $3,000 mark. That puts us clearly within striking distance of our $5,000 goal for the agility course. If you haven't made a contribution yet, please consider making one today. You can send a check to CC Chamber Foundation, P.O. Box 805, Grand Marais, MN, 55604, or you can go to our donation page on Facebook by clicking this link: https://www.facebook.com/donate/2044026379024493/
Or you can contribute on our website via Paypal, a very safe method which allows use of your Paypal account if you have one or a credit card if you don't. Go to this link: http://cookcountychamber.org/support_eddy__our_canine_protector
Please pass this message along to anyone you know who might like to support this effort. If you love dogs, you will love Eddy.
Thanks for your generosity,
