Boreal Community Media hosted a community picnic lunch to help raise funds for WTIP’s '20 More' summer pledge drive on Friday, July 20 at WTIP.  

Community members dodged a few raindrops and enjoyed grilled brats and hot dogs, potato salad and chips, fresh veggies and cake, brownies, cookies, lemonade and more.  Boreal Community Media staff were on hand to man the grill, distribute literature on the Boreal Emergency Preparedness Portal and answer questions about the current Boreal E-Mail user migration.  

Boreal staffers David Blackburn, Shawn Buckroyd and Lisa Bauer were interviewed live on WTIP regarding Boreal's e-mail migration project by WTIP news staffers Rhonda Silence and Joe Friedrichs.

WTIP held a live broadcast outdoors featuring local musician Fred Anderson.  Another community picnic to help get new and renewing members will be held on Monday, July 23 at WTIP.

In the meantime, Boreal Community Media urges community members to make their pledge of support to WTIP.   Making a pledge is simple and only takes a few minutes.
