Up the Trail with Friends of the Boundary Waters

Join Friends of the Boundary Waters for a conversation on mining, climate change, and the Boundary Waters.

You are invited to a community conversation about the Boundary Waters.

On Wednesday, July 8, Friends of the Boundary Waters is hosting a community conversation at Northern Lights Lodge at Gunflint Lodge & Outfitters. From 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sam Reed, our climate and conservation expert, will share a candid update on the environmental threats currently facing the Boundary Waters and the broader Quetico-Superior region: the push for copper-nickel sulfide mining in the Rainy River watershed, the mounting pressures of climate change on boreal forest and freshwater systems, and how Friends is leading protection and initiatives in the years ahead.

This event is for people who love this wilderness and want to understand what it's up against. Space is limited and we'd love for you to be part of it. Guests are welcome!
