Positive Caregivers Book Club Celebration
May 4 | Noon-1:30pm | County Community Center and Log Building | Free Meal & Free Childcare

Reflect, Connect, & Rejuvenate on Saturday, May 4th, following the Monthly Family Social at the Cook From noon until 1:30, and if you attended the Saturday Family Social you can simply stay while we run to pick up lunch from local vendors. Free Childcare and a Light meal will be provided (If you have any allergies or preferences we request that you bring a brown bag meal).

This gathering is for anyone (plus your family or valued peer) that signed up for a Positive Caregivers Book Club session (even if you were unable to attend the Zoom events), Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. The books read this year were, Simplicity Parenting, Brain-Body Parenting, and Good Inside.

Please let us know how many people will be joining us for a meal and if you will need childcare (how many kids and ages). Kids are also welcome to stay with their caregivers during the gathering if preferred. The plan is to eat in the community center as families around noon. Then children will stay to play and caregivers will migrate over to the log cabin for connection. There will be about 10 minutes of welcome and introductions of each attendee, followed by about 15 minutes of group discussion with prompts. The final 35 minutes will be for you to simply mingle without kids. We heard loud and clear last spring that caregivers want a space to simply connect with others. So here is a little time carved out for you to do just that.

We have so enjoyed having you be part of this community of learners for 2023/2024. We hope to see you back in the fall of 2024 for more books and gatherings.
