Birney Quick Legacy Exhibition

Gallery Exhibition featuring the artwork of Birney Quick

Come and see our latest exhibit, featuring the artwork of the prolific Birney Quick!

Artist Birney Quick (1912-1981) produced more than 10,000 works of art in his lifetime, many of which were painted in Cook County. He was a teacher, expert fisherman, and founded the longest-running art colony in Minnesota, the Grand Marais Arts Colony. This showcase will highlight the many techniques and mediums Quick mastered, from watercolors to charcoals to wood carving.

Gallery exhibition runs March 30th through April 21st alongside our permanent Anna C Johnson collection and gift shop featuring local artists.
