This training will cover a foundational understanding of 2SLGBTQ+ identities, a brief overview of what 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy can look like. and how to create safer spaces for our coworkers, neighbors, family, friends, customers, and more! Safe(r) Spaces are inviting, engaging, and supportive environments in which all people feel comfortable behaving genuinely.

Attendees will walk away with: * An understanding of 2SLGBTQ+ terms and identities * Practical skills for creating safer, more inclusive spaces * An introduction to 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy for allies CCHE can provide certificates of training hours completed if requested.

Presenter Bio: C Michael Menge (they & he) is the Community Advocacy & Training Specialist at OutFront Minnesota's Anti-Violence Program (AVP). AVP is a broad-based effort to end violence and harassment against and within LGBTQ+ communities in Minnesota. We work in collaboration with survivors and community members to build safety and power - as well as opportunities for support and healing - through the provision of crisis intervention services, systems advocacy, counseling, community education, and outreach.
